TOP of the table Melksham Park played host to bottom of the table Bradford Town Youth White with Park going on the defensive from the kick off.

Bradford matched Parks attacks with excellent defending by centre backs Dylan Boocock and Josiah Pillinger, with good work from keeper Sam Draper.

Bradford finally succumbed to Park's pressure, giving them a 1-0 advantage, but a counter attack saw Robin Aldridge bring the scores level at the break.

Melksham regained their lead in the second half before going on to score two more in the space of five minutes to see them take the game at 4-1. Lewis Heathcote (3) and Ryan Williams scored for Park.

Larkhall Athletic returned to winning ways with a much improved performance against a good and very sporting Derry Hill United.

The game was played in difficult, windy conditions, but this did not stop both teams playing some good, passing football.

Larkhall had the advantage of winning the toss and choosing to play with the wind in the first half. Larkhall's first goal came after good interplay between Josh Prince and Matt Klinpikuln whose cross was turned in by Chris Day from close range.

Matt Klinpikuln scored a great second after skillfully getting past several Derry Hill defenders and firing high into the net. Josh Prince, who had a great game in midfield, scored Larkhall's third before captain Mack Jones completed the scoring in the first half with a very well-earned first goal of the season.

Derry Hill's opportunities to test Matt Rabenda-Davies in the Larkhall goal were few in the first half, partly because of the strong wind against them, but also because of a very good display by Larkhall defenders Jake Horwood, Cai Reiach and Russell Forster.

They were all quick in the tackle and very well organized by Dan Kevill, whose positional play and distribution was its usual high level.

Though facing a hard task to get back in the game in the second half, Derry Hill did not let their heads drop at all and continued to put together some good passing moves, which would have produced some goals with a little more luck or composure with the final ball.

The midfield contest remained very competitive, but fair, with both teams working hard to gain the upper hand. Larkhall's midfield of Josh White, Josh Prince, Connor Lynch and Matt Klinpikuln all played well and combined effectively throughout the game. Early in the second half Joe Stroud and Joe Pilgrim came on for Larkhall.

Soon after, Mack Jones put Chris Day in for his second goal, before Joe Pilgrim scored Larkhall's final goal with a powerful header from a corner. The final score line was perhaps a bit harsh on Derry Hill, who contributed really well to an entertaining game, which was played in a very good spirit, for which both teams deserve a lot of credit.

WESTBURY Youth enjoyed the majority of the possession against Amesbury Youth, creating several opportunities for most of the first half without managing to put one in the back of the net.

The closest resulting from a fine passing move down the right wing that saw a Sam Reeves cross met by a Mark Hiscox shot -but it just crept wide. Amesbury were restricted to just a couple of breakaways.

The second half saw the roles reversed a little as Amesbury saw more possession and put more pressure on the Westbury defence. Westbury had several break away attempts but never really tested the Amesbury keeper.

Westbury's defence did a great job throughout the game leaving keeper Adam Fisher without having to make a real save all game.

JACK Coxall gave home side Warminster Highbury a 1-0 first half lead in their game against White Horse Juniors. Zak Legg made it 2-0 before Carlo Schmig put the game out of the visitors reach.

South Newton & Wishford ran out 5-1 winners at home to Salisbury United with Luke Charity scoring for Salisbury.

CASTLE Combe Colts move up into second position after running out 5-2 winners at home to Amesbury Juniors.

Josh Shaw took the lead for Combe with Amesbury drawing level mid way through the first half. Amesbury had control early in the second half, taking the lead at 2-1 before Combe were back in it seeing goals from Dan Bendall and Adam Wood to regain the lead.

Combe stretched their lead to 4-2 with an own goal and finished off the match with a superb strike from Luke Shipley. The game was refereed superbly by David Daly from Swindon.
