PEWSEY Vale ran out convincing 10-1 winners at home against Mere with goals from Zak Messenger (3), Jack Goddard (2), Wesley Britton (2), Josh Mundy, Jamie Collinson and Fraizer Parmenter.

Westbury produced a storming finish to their League season with an emphatic win over a plucky but under strength Castle Combe side. Combe began the match with just ten players and were reduced to nine mid way through due to an injury.

Played in cold and very muddy conditions Westbury were always in control and went ahead in the third minute with a goal from Kyle Quinn. Westbury continued to dominate and it took a good save from the Combe keeper to keep the score at 1-0, but he could do nothing a minute later as Ashley Hargreaves made the score 2-0 to Westbury.

Jack Hayward then made it 3-0 just after Tim Kirk had hit the post with a fine shot. Then came a fifteen minute spell where Combe could not withstand wave after wave of Westbury attacks and Westbury scored five more goals, four from Jack Hayward and a first of the season for Tim Kirk leaving the half time score at 8-0.

The second half continued in the same way, Westbury going 9-0 in front after only a minute with Kyle Quinn's second goal after a fine cross from Luke Friendship A minute later Jack Hayward scored his sixth goal of the game closely followed by his seventh to make the score 11-0.

Nathan McCafferty then got in on the act to make the score 12-0.

To their credit Combe never gave up and kept battling for a goal and resolute defending saw them manage to hold out until four minutes from the end when Anthony Fox burst through to score Westbury's thirteenth goal.

TROWBRIDGE Town Tigers were on good form away against Warminster Highbury taking a 6-0 lead at the break before going on to finish 10-0 winners.

Highbury battled hard but could not match the Tigers. Nathan Cockran (5), Luke Murden (3), Jordan Bryant and Sam Walker scored for the Tigers.

The recent bad weather made the pitch sticky but AFC Corsham and Melksham Town worked hard to make it an exciting match. Melksham Town Youth started the stronger but AFC Corsham's defence marshalled by Tayler and Boyd kept them at bay.

Corsham then started to create some chances through wingers Roberts and Barnes but it was Melksham who took the lead when a speculative long range shot crept in to the bottom corner of the net.

Corsham equalised just after the restart with good work from Bray and Hard putting O'Dwyer in on the right with his shot squeezing into the net. Corsham then scored the goal of the game following swift passing down the left between Chandler and May putting Roberts through.

A one-two with Bray and the ball was moved into the middle to see Barnes round the defender and keeper to coolly place the ball into the net. Melksham pulled level just before half time with a deft flicked header from a well drilled free kick.

In the second half Melksham put Corsham under pressure but good keeping by Mitchell kept the scores level. Corsham came closest to scoring. A long range free kick by Barnes thumped the cross bar. Melksham kept pressing and had a number of corners.

However, determined defending by Richer in particular meant the score was level approaching the last ten minutes. Corsham couldn't hold on and Melksham scored their winner from the penalty spot.
