DEVIZES eventer Coral Keen will make her debut at September’s Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, riding Wellshead Fare Opposition.
Keen, 27, will route the ten-year-old gelding to the four star competition following a successful outing at Aston-Le-Walls at the weekend where they finished fourth in an open intermediate section.
She said: “It was his first run back after Bramham last month where we had a top 20 placing in the CCI3*. He did a good dressage test and a super double clear showjumping and cross-country. He’ll now go to Hartpury CIC3* in August before we go to Land Rover Burghley.
“It’s obviously a huge event but I have so much confidence in Derby (Wellshead Fare Opposition). He has a huge amount of scope and ability and he loves the job. He’s like a Range Rover Sport with a leg at four corners but with so much power and class.”
Bromham's Libby Seed and What a Catch II have been named as reserves for the British team to take part in the European Junior Championships at Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire, from August 14-17.
