GRANT Hall, Jay McEveley and Dany N’Guessan will be given as much time as possible to recover from injury and illness before decisions are made on their inclusion in Swindon Town’s matchday squad for the visit of Crawley Town tomorrow.

Hall and McEveley picked up respective ankle and knee knocks during the 1-1 draw with Bradford City on Sunday while N’Guessan is still fighting a virus ahead of the visit of the Red Devils on New Year’s Day but assistant coach Luke Williams told the local media that the club still held out hope that all three could still be involved.

Ryan Harley, meanwhile, is expected to feature after shrugging off the effects of a bug.

“It’s a testing time on the body with the games thick and fast and the temperatures very low and a lot of travelling. We’ve got a few we’re going to go right down to the wire on and a few we’re confident will be ready,” said Williams.

“I think we can expect to be a fairly full squad going into the next game.

“Dany got ill and it really sapped a lot of his energy. He was very weak. We thought he may be able to help us out and play a little bit, even struggling, but at the same time we didn’t want to lose him for longer by putting him out there and making him prone to picking up something.

“We’ve tried to be careful with Dany because we’re going to need him to come into the fold now.

“It will probably come right down to the wire with Grant. We’ll wait right up until the hours before the game.

“I think with Jay it’s something separate. We’re taking every precaution to give Jay the best chance to be involved. I actually think it’s not the knee he’s had work on before because that knee seems to be stronger than ever but it was unfortunate the way he twisted.

“Ryan got ill and it sapped his energy again but we feel like we’ve done everything to protect him and hopefully now he’s ready to come in and play again in the team.”

Miles Storey is understood to have felt stiffness in his hamstring after the draw at Valley Parade but he is expected to be involved tomorrow.
