MARLBOROUGH warmed up for this weekend’s top of the table clash with Lansdown in West Clubs League North Division crown by thumping BAC 11-3.

The home side scored three goals in the first 10 minutes and by half time a stunned BAC were 6-0 down.

A further five goals followed in the second half before BAC staged a rally.

Kate Batty scored five goals and Rosie Curling added a hat-trick. Clare Griffiths, Catherine Manley and Alex Crosby Jones were also on target.

Wootton Bassett went sixth as they edged out Westberries A 2-1.

Bassett seized the lead when an incisive shot from Tegan Buchanan from a short corner found the net.

Bassett continued to dominate in the second period but with under five minutes to go, Westberries fashioned an equaliser.

Bassett surged forward and Vic Sammon and Becky Johnson exchanged passes for Sammon to fire home in the dying seconds.

Chippenham found Premier Division 2A leaders Salisbury too hot to handle as they were defeated 6-1. Rhiannon Roberts scored.

Devizes notched up their fifth successive victory to stay joint top of Wessex Division One, Morag Taylor and an own goal the scorers.

Devizes 2nd ran out winners against Wootton Bassett 3rd in Wessex Division Two, with fine performances from Helen Edwards and Hollie Goddard in the 8-0 win.

Chippenham 3rd have a two-point lead at the top, Samantha Jennings twice and Sunny Petersen scoring in their 3-0 win over Wootton Bassett 2nd.
