CHIPPENHAM remained firmly rooted inside the bottom three of National Three South West as second-placed Bracknell took the spoils at Allington Field.
With the elements in their favour in the first half, the visitors started strongly and blindside break off a scrum by Nico Maybury, saw Ben Yates set up George Milligan for a try Chris Laidler converted.
With both sides struggling in the conditions, Chippenham enjoyed territorial advantage but despite a number of close-range scrums, they were unable to press home the advantage.
Early in the second half, a Bracknell drive ended with Stuart Mackay flicking a scoring pass to Tom Saunders.
With the wind in their favour, Chippenham continued to press and were rewarded when Ryan Surry went over for a converted try.
Laidler though ended hopes of a comeback as he went over from a scrum and the bonus point arrived for the visitors as Mackay scored in the corner late on.
