CONNECTIONS of Wiltshire-trained Al Kazeem will hang fire on any decision about the possible participation of the five-year-old in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Beckhampton trainer Roger Charlton will take into account the results of the Arc trials coming up at Longchamp next weekend before deciding on whether to go for the autumn showpiece on October 6.

He will also monitor how his triple Group One winner has taken his exertions when finishing second to The Fugue in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.

Charlton was happy with the run, especially following his previous effort when only third to Declaration Of War in the Juddmonte International at York last month.

"I was pleased with the run and that he reversed the form at York with Trading Leather," said the Beckhampton handler.

"He was just beaten by a very good filly on the day."

"(There's ) no decision on the Arc yet. I expect we will see what happens next weekend in all the trials and make the right decision."
