ETCHILHAMPTON rider Tommy Bridewell has split with the Bathams Honda MCE British Superbike team.
The 24 year old has parted company with the team after a number of technical difficulties with the Fireblade bike at recent rounds at Knockhill and Snetterton.
Bridewell, who hopes to have a new ride in time for the Oulton Park round in August said: "My reasons for leaving are obvious but I wish the team well for the rest of the season.
"I really want to be back on a British Superbike at Oulton Park and stay there for the rest of the season.
"I have recently really enjoyed my training again and although the World Supersport ride at Imola was anjoyable and a bit surprising for myself, riding in BSB is where I want to be at the moment.''
