DEAN Griffiths has left Chippenham Town to join Bridgwater Town.

The 28-year-old striker followed Richard Fey from Toolstation League Bitton to Hardenhuish Park at the start of last season and will link up again with the former Bluebirds assistant at Evo-Stik League Division One South and West outfit Bridgwater.

Griffiths scored nine goals in his time Chippenham, ending last season on a high with four goals in the Bluebirds' final three games of the campaign.

Alex Kite left Hardenhuish Park to join Mangotsfield United earlier this week but Chippenham boss Nathan Rudge announced the signing of Yate Town midfielder Harley Purnell yesterday.

The Bluebirds have also released a list confirming the 16 players, including new-boy Purnell, who have signed on at Hardenhuish Park for next season.
