DEVIZES 2nd got their Dorset & Wilts One North campaign back on track against local rivals Calne.

The home side made a poor start as Calne grabbed the lead with an unconverted try, but they levelled when Matt Holloran’s pass found Steve Gray, who went over.

Calne regained the lead when Holloran’s pass was intercepted for a converted score before half time.

Devizes again levelled in the second half as Gavin Curnow ended a concerted effort by bundling over for a converted score.

A superbly executed switch from winger Tom Scott-Kelly then found Chris Barter who finished well in the corner.

Barter then made Calne pay for a wasteful kick as he ran the ball back and exploited poor tackling to go under the posts, Holloran adding the extras.

A nervous final 10 minutes saw Calne score a converted try to earn a bonous point.
