A WOMAN was in police custody after being found to be more than three times over the drink-drive limit.
Officers from Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Community Police Team received a tip-off this morning about a possible drink-driver in the Purton area.
A spokesman for the team said: "RWB CPT and their Tri-Force Traffic colleagues were able to proactively target the vehicle in question, which was stopped in the Fox, Purton.
"A roadside breath test was completed and the driver, a 50-year-old female from West Swindon, has subsequently been arrested for drink driving as she blew 119 at the road side. She is currently on her way to Swindon custody to be processed."
The legal driving limit is 35mcg per 100ml of breath.
Anyone with any information in relation to anyone suspected of drink driving should contact the police on either 101 or 999.
