A MISSING kitten that was thrown from a car in an M4 crash has allegedly been spotted near Chippenham.

Five-month-old tabby Bengal cross Bruno escaped after his owner’s car overturned between junctions 17 and 16 on Friday evening.

His cat carrier was thrown from the car and the cage door ripped off.

Heartbroken owner Hussein Sharaf, who has been appealing for the public’s help via social media received fresh hope with a possible sighting of Bruno in Plough Lane, Kington Langley on Monday (APRIL 25)

“A lady called to say she had seen a cat galloping along Plough Lane and his markings matched up with Bruno’s,” Hussein said.

“It makes me feel more positive to know that he’s been seen. Hopefully this means he will be back home with me soon. I think about Bruno all the time."

The public have rallied round Hussein since Bruno’s disappearance with members of the town pet community conducting searches for the young house-cat.

The crash left software developer Hussein with minor injuries and needing surgery, but he is still co-ordinating the search effort.

“I don’t sleep at night because I am constantly worried about Bruno, he isn’t used to being outside in the cold and I know he will be hungry because he eats a lot for such a small cat.

“People in Swindon have been fantastic with helping to search for him which I am really thankful for.”
