SEVEN young people have been rescued from a disused mine in Corsham.
The cavers, aged between 17 and 20, were rescued after becoming lost in the Cathedral area of Box Cave.
Firefighters were called at 9.30pm on Saturday and had to speak to the cavers through a hole at the surface of the cave system at the old Box Mine, Box Hill.
A local guide helped bring the cavers to safety in two groups of three and four.
Corsham Fire Station tweeted: "Please do not enter mines unless you have the correct equipment and knowledge stay safe."
