THE inquest into the death of a Marlborough man who fell from a 12th floor New York apartment has been postponed.
Charles Randall, 33, died in February last year and the inquest into his death was due to take place last week at Salisbury Coroner’s Court. However, requests have been made for more investigations.
At the time of his death the New York Post reported that he was staying in a luxury Manhattan apartment with his actress cousin and her her husband, whose family co-founded jewellery giant Van Cleef & Arpels.
The newspaper also claims witnesses saw Mr Randall jump from the 12th floor at around 3am on February 26.
It is understood he was taken to New York Downtown Hospital in critical condition, but died about an hour later.
Mr Randall, of East Grafton, was the son of Robert Randall and brother to Peter, Oliver and Zoe.
He was also part of Marlborough Rugby Club who paid tribute to him before their games against Dorset and Trowbridge last March. They said: "Both games were marked before the start with a minutes silence for past player Charlie Randall who tragically died recently."
