BUDDING chefs at Pewsey Vale School have a brand-new food technology room to whip up their best dishes in.

The school is changing its curriculum to promote greater cookery and food preparations and now has slick new facilities and state of the art appliances.

It was unveiled by Devizes constituency MP Claire Perry and funded thanks to a grant from The Savoy Educational Trust Fund.

Additional funding was also raised with the support from governors, PTFA and students and the project was underway by June and finished in time for the new academic year in September.

“It has been an amazing project,” said food technology teacher Brigid Sparke.

“The classroom is now ready to use and inspire the next generation of young people who enjoying cooking and eating.

“The facilities and equipment are professional, contemporary and ultra-stylish. The students at Pewsey Vale School now have the opportunity to excel and enjoy the art of cooking for years to come.”
