Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Pewsey in which an 86-year-old man was injured.

The incident took place at approximately 9.20am on Monday July 28 near to Bouverie Hall.

The pensioner was walking along a pathway that runs adjacent to the Bouverie Hall. After the man had stopped to read his newspaper, he had his wallet stolen from his back pocket by a woman. The male was also knocked over during the robbery causing injuries to his finger and knee.

The woman then made off on a pushbike towards the village centre.

She is described as white, around 5ft 1ins tall, of average build with long, dark hair. She was wearing a brown and white top.

Wiltshire Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a woman on a pushbike matching the above description.
