Independent opticians Haine & Smith has presented a cheque for £2956.43 to Macmillan Cancer Support charity at their Head Office in Pewsey.
The money was raised primarily from patient donations to collection boxes placed in Haine & Smith’s 19 practices across Wiltshire and the surrounding area, along with fund-raising events held by staff.
Congratulating their fundraising efforts, Barry Smith, Haine & Smith’s senior partner, said: “Macmillan are doing vital work and it has been very enjoyable and satisfying working with them.”
Steven Goodrick, Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising manager for Wiltshire said: “We are extremely grateful to Haine and Smith staff and patients for their kind and generous support over the last 12 months. Macmillan are entirely reliant on donations in order to support people affected by cancer and Haine and Smith’s support will go a long way towards achieving this.”
