MORE than 900 Marlborough residents were left without power on Friday during a three-hour long outage.

At 10.46am, Scottish and Southern Electric customers were without electricity due to a fault with the company's high voltage network in the Marlborough area.

A SSEN spokesman said: “Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is aware of a fault in its high voltage network in the Marlborough area, affecting over 900 customers.

"Our engineers on now on site and we would like to thank customers for their patience as we work to restore power.”

Power was restored to all SSEN customers by 3.30pm.
