Fire and police crews are currently still in Herd Street investigating smoke coming from the pavement
POLICE and fire crews are currently in Herd Street following reports of smoke rising from the pavement.
Reports of the smoke were received by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue at 3.56pm this afternoon (Tuesday 13 September).
Fire crews are still looking for the cause of the smoke with the electricity board on hand to help with the investigation.
Officers from Wiltshire Police are also at the scene to help direct traffic.
