Burbage Energy Action Management has given out £2,400 of grants this year to village groups.
BEAM is an association of more than 300 households in Burbage and the surrounding area that have joined together to purchase their domestic heating oil at a competitive market price.
Each litre of heating oil purchased by members raises £0.005p to be spent supporting voluntary organisations and social enterprises within the village.
Burbage Surgery was given £2,000 towards two dermatoscopes, used in the early diagnosis and detection of skin cancer.
Burbage Day Centre at Seymour Court was given £400 for cooking equipment and utensils.
BEAM has now donated more than £20,000 to voluntary and social enterprise groups within the village.
