BOSNIAN orphan Oggi Tomic, who was saved from the war torn country by a Wiltshire charity, is to speak in Marlborough on Saturday, November 15.
The Pewsey support group of the charity Hope and Homes for Children has organised a special celebration at St Peter’s Church, Marlborough, to celebrate the charity’s 20th anniversary.
Mr Tomic, who is now an ambassador for the charity, was one of the first children saved by Mark and Caroline Cook, the founders of Hope and Homes for Children, when he was rescued from an orphanage in Sarajevo in 1994.
There is no charge for entry to the event, which starts at 7pm, but donations will be welcome especially as until December 12 every donation made will be doubled by the UK Government.
Complimentary wine and canapes will be served on arrival.
You can reserve your free place by calling 01672 562777 or e-mailing richard@netherclift.com before Monday.
