Wiltshire Farmers’ Markets have two reasons to celebrate this weekend with the the launch of a new market in Sutton Benger on Saturday and the first anniversary of Chippenham’s on Sunday.
Sutton Benger farmers’ market, held on the second Saturday of each month, will be open from 9am until 1pm with a celebrity launch at 11.30am at the Bell House Hotel in High Street.
Chippenham farmers’ market was launched on a wet day this time last year.
Sue Thomson, administrator at the Wiltshire Farmers’ Market Association said: “Unfortunately there followed a wet autumn, winter and spring, which is not encouraging for outdoor events.
“Having said that, the Food and Drink festival in July was a lovely day with a constant throng of people enjoying the local produce as well as the weather.”
It will be in the High Street from 10am until 2pm on the second Sunday in October and December.
A Winter Wonderland Market is on November 30.
