Firefighters in Marlborough handed over a cheque to Macmillan after showing off their barbecuing skills at the Jazz Festival.
The firefighters decided to raise money for the cancer charity to help the fundraising efforts of crew manager Justin Kimber’s partner Emma Brown.
Swindon police officer Miss Brown, who lives in Marlborough, has raised thousands for Macmillan since she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January.
She said: “My experience with Macmillan Cancer Support has been somewhat different. They have helped with the information side of things and I always knew that they were there if I needed them.”
Firefighters, family and friends helped out at the bar and barbecue, which raised around £650 for the cancer charity.
