DYSON'S campus expansion and two structures at Westonbirt Arboretum have been shortlisted for this year's Royal Institute of British Architects regional awards.
The recently completed Dyson campus in Malmesbury by architects WilkinsonEyre and the STIHL treetop walk and the tree management centre in Westonbirt completed by Glenn Howells Architects and Invisible Studio will be facing 16 other buildings at the award ceremony next month.
As well as the prestigious Marley Eternit Building of the Year Award, the shortlist will also produce a number of category winners including Tobermore Client of the Year, Taylor Maxwell Project Architect of the Year and the Gerberit Sustainability Award.
RIBA South West regional director Jon Watkins said: "RIBA Awards always bring out the best in local and national architects across our vast region, and this year’s shortlist offers quality, diversity of type and scale, excellence in design, and lots of delight."
The winners will be announced at an evening at the Harbour Hotel in Bristol on May 23 hosted by Michael Holmes, content director for Centaur Media, TV presenter and chair of the National Custom and Self-build Association.
