A RELAXING break in Dartmouth with a llama walk for two is one of several gifts up for grabs at the Heals of Malmesbury Christmas appeal auction.

The auction, which will take place from 7.30pm on Thursday, December 1 at Malmesbury Town Hall, will raise thousands of pounds for the charity’s Christmas appeal to help vulnerable people and those in fuel poverty over the festive season.

General manager Alison Cross-Jones said: "If someone cannot heat their house seven days a week then we will try to do our best to help them do that or pay their electricity bill and we hope people will get involved in our 12 ways of Christmas.

"We have about £3,500 worth of gifts and if we can sell that amount plus people's donations and raffle money we could make £2,500-£4,000 which would be fantastic. We have estimated that the appeal will cost about £11,000 based on previous years so we need the community behind us to get there!"

Potential bidders will be able to view the lots on the day from 3.30-6.30pm and anyone unable to attend can hand their bids in to the HEALS office or email them on heals.malmesbury@gmail.com.
