WILTSHIRE community choir Sing Alive gave Alzheimer’s Support two reasons to celebrate this new year.
Members of the choir raised £430 through their Christmas concert, raffle and cake sale and also selected Alzheimer’s Support as their chosen charity for 2018.
CEO Babs Harris said: “We’re bowled over by the late Christmas present from Sing Alive. To raise money for us is fantastic, but to choose us as their charity for 2018 really shows how much our work means to the surrounding community.”
A few choir members are volunteers at Alzheimer’s Support’s Music for the Mind group in Seend and the choir overwhelmingly voted to raise money for the charity.
Alzheimer’s Support has wide range of community groups across Wiltshire. For more information go to https://www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk/ or call the Community Services team on 01380 739055.
