POLICE are appealing for witnesses to another burglary where distinctive jewellery was taken.

During the raid on at the end of October in Dowse Road burglars broke in through the back door and took a coin jar and jewellery including an Ernest Jones gold band wedding ring with a swirl design, with cluster of diamonds, a gold neck band with floral pattern inscribed, gold drop earrings, waved design, gold bracelet with floral pattern inscribed, gold bracelet, 1cm wide linked and a gold band ring with black gem

PC Jonathan Fry said: “We are appealing firstly to anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the area of Dowse Road during this time to get in touch. Secondly, I’d like to hear from anyone who may have information in relation to the jewellery stolen – some of which is quite distinctive.”

The burglary happened between 8am on October 22 and 1.40am on October 28.

Last week the Gazette reported a similar break in at a widow's house in Matilda Way, Devizes.
