IT looks like the only way is up for Devizes Fencing and Landscaping, who are celebrating their one-year anniversary this month after a solid first year in business.

Devizes locals Dave Moucher, 50, and Elliot Perrigo, 47, have 60 years’ combined experience in fencing, landscaping and retail and they are using that wealth of experience to help their enterprise build on the success of 2016.

The store, in Hopton Industrial Estate, London Road, stocks a vast array of timber, all of which is from the UK, fencing supplies, gates, gate fixings, ironmongery and now they will also supply and have on display a myriad of different garden furniture.

After knowing and working with each other for several years, the two went into partnership last January and they have not looked back.

“It has been quite a learning curve but we are improving and growing with every month that goes by, which is great,” said Mr Moucher.

“We are doing a lot more work ourselves, on top of selling stuff, such as installing patios, fencing, driveways and other types of landscaping, which is great. It is always a risk taking on a challenge such as this but we are very glad we did.

“Other than me and Elliot, we are employing several subcontractors to help with the work we carry out with a friendly and good value for money service.

“We feel as we are having a large range of products we can kick on in 2017.

Before the two joined forces to form this business, Mr Moucher had his DBM Landscapes company and Mr Perrigo was running South West Fencing, but together they felt if they formed a partnership they could take things to the next level.

“We both have quite a few years experience in this field so it felt right coming together like this,” said Mr Moucher.

“We feel in Devizes there is a need for the specialised field that we cover as the other places are more generic,” said Mr Moucher.

“We have worked with some local businesses such as Gaiger Bros Ltd and Wilkins Builders Ltd and KL and Son and it is going pretty well so far.

“For a first year it has been a pretty good one, we have really enjoyed ourselves and we are very much looking forward to the future.”
