Thousands taken in Lidl raid in Devizes
Burglars dressed in black broke into Lidl supermarket in Devizes during the early hours of Saturday and escaped with thousands of pounds from a safe.
Police say CCTV shows two men with their faces and heads covered forcing their way into the store in London Road just after 2am.
They managed to gain entry through a side door behind the warehouse part of the building.
The men then found the safe and broke into it. It is understood they escaped with thousands of pounds.
Shoppers who turned up to the store on Saturday morning found it closed to customers.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
