TEENAGERS from Devizes School are feeling magic after being chosen to perform at Disneyland, Paris during the Easter holidays.

A group of 64 students will sing and dance on the Disney Stage at the Cinemagique theatre alongside the Disney Performing Arts On Stage team.

Teacher Stuart MacFarlane said: "They will be performing in front of the paying public. The audition process is tough so we are really pleased that we have been picked to perform."

It is the second year running that pupils from the school have made it through auditions to perform at the theme park.

This year's visit will include three nights in Paris from March 30 and in addition to the show the students will also take part in a Disney performing arts workshop.

Other students also enjoyed their moment in the limelight last week as they took part in the BBC News School Report initiative.

A total of 28 students from year eight from Devizes School were joined by eight students from year six from local primary schools took part in the news day.

Teachers Susanna Mountcastle and Rebecca Robinson worked with them to write reports that were published on the school website and linked to the BBC website.

Subjects chosen ranged from school dinners to the representation of women in education.
