Bluesman Mike Francis launches his new touring and festival set for the year at the Cellar Bar Blues Club, Bear Hotel, Devizes, tomorrow.
A European Blues Awards nominee, he’s just completed a European tour and UK dates with the Larry Miller Band.
A long time exponent of bringing early traditional blues into the 21st century, Rolling Stones author and archivist Martin Elliott recently commented that "If Woody Guthrie and Robert Gordon were still around they'd probably sound like this guy" while the late John Peel once said that “It’s easier to say who Mike Francis hasn’t played with”.
Doors open at 8pm with music from 9pm. Advanced booking (advised) is £5 from venue; call 01380 722444 or visit www.thebearhotel.net
