CHIRTON Pips Pre-school has been praised by Ofsted.
The small pre-school, set in the grounds of Chirton School, has received an Ofsted rating of good with one outstanding area.
It received the top rating of outstanding for the well-being of the children. There are 13 children who attend the pre-school from Monday to Friday in term time.
The pre-school was inspected at the end of November and the report says that the children enjoy a broad range of activities.
Among the improvements Ofsted has recommended are to display books more clearly and to make more use of the garden.
Chirton Pips manager, Sarah Jones, who has been in charge for two years, said: “The inspector said some great stuff and we are very pleased with the result.”
