The boss of a chain of barbers is to stand trial accused of assaulting a business rival.
Gary Hatto, 48, pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court today.
Hatto is said to have assaulted Mike Harford, who runs Mikey's Barber Shop in Devizes Market Place, on Sunday, June 22.
District Judge Simon Cooper adjourned the case to 10am on Wednesday, March 25, when he will face trial before justices in Salisbury.
He released Hatto, of Wildcross, South Wraxall, on bail on condition he does not contact the complainant or go within 100 yards of his business premises.
The judge amended the previous condition banning him from the Market Place as Hatto told the court he needed to do his banking at the HSBC branch there.
