More than 20 women and a few men took part in a bras off fundraising event for Breast Cancer Awareness on Monday evening.
Regulars at the Southgate Inn, Devizes, dressed in T-shirts with bras on top, then whipped off their bras just before they were doused with buckets of water in the pub’s car park. The men made up for their lack of assets by stuffing bras with tissue paper.
Pub landlady Sarah Wixon said: “It was a really fun evening and I would like to thank everyone for their support.”
She and regular Julia Bramwell made sure the damp supporters were refreshed after drying off by supplying soup and cakes.
All those taking part paid £10 to the charity. It is hoped that more than £250 has been raised and donations are still coming in.
