SEVEN teenagers had to be rescued by firefighters after they got lost in the depths of Box Mine.
The group of youths were rescued by the specialist rope team from Trowbridge just before 7am this morning (Wednesday). The same crew also rescued another group on Sunday (July 2) who had got lost after the directional arrows had been vandalised.
Posting on Twitter, Trowbridge Fire Station said: "I don't think exploring the mines is encourages, however there are so many entrances it's difficult to police so if you are going to explore the mines let someone know, have a time to report out, map, torch and batts, phone, warm clothes."
