SPRINGFIELD Community Campus in Corsham has become the latest victim to vandalism after more than a £1,000 of damage was caused to the centre's play park over the Easter holidays.

Police are appealing for more information after the tarmac surface of the play area in Beechfield Road was pulled up between 100am on April 14 and 3pm on April 17.

PCSO Elizabeth Duncan said: "This is mindless damage which will cost approximately £1,000 to repair. Acts of vandalism such as this can have a really negative impact on the local community and ruin the excellent facilities we have within our towns for young people.

"This incident happened over the Easter weekend - we'd like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around this time."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
