THE streets of Corsham were packed for the town's second street fair on Saturday afternoon, with live music, craft activities and advice for cyclists all on offer to the estimated 2,000 people who came to visit.

The town centre was filled with stalls, activities and the animals of the Little Zoo.

Sharon Thomas, of Corsham Town Council, said: "We were delighted. The town was packed with people and a lot of the stalls sold out before the end of the fair."

There was live music in the Martingate Centre, including the Colerne Military Wives Choir, local musicians Jennifer Crook and Ben Powell and dance groups Xpression Street Dance and Prima Dance.

Corsham Bookshop hosted a performance by the Bookshop Band, Beth Porter and Ben Please, who write songs inspired by books.

This year there was also an extra busking tent, which hosted Corsham Wind Band and the Double Trouble Majorettes.

Several shops ran special events, including a barbecue in the garden of Café Grounded, cycling advice from Spindles bike shop and a free open day at the Corsham Almshouses.

Camomile Café ran a range of craft activities and taster sessions of baby massage, yoga, hypnobirthing and creative dance for under-sixes.

Ms Thomas said: "We would like to say a huge thank to everybody who was part of the fair; it really was a great day and couldn't have gone any better."
