PUPILS from Hardenhuish School laced up their running shoes with Chippenham Park Run to raise more than £300 for Cancer Research.
The group of runners from Year 7 and their tutors, most of whom had not run more than 2km before, completed the 5k race on Saturday to raise much needed funds for their chosen charity.
After the race, Mr Mike Heffernan, the school’s Year 7 learning Manager, said: “The Year 7s enjoyed excellent support from their families and friends, as well as from the Park Run volunteers and members of the public.
"We would like to thank everyone who donated money to this great cause."
