CCTV images have been released by police after three people were assaulted at a Chippenham petrol station.

The incident took place between 11.55pm on October 29 and 12.05am on October 30 near the Shop 'n' Drive petrol station in Bath Road, opposite the Hungry Horse pub.

Three local people, two men aged 39 and 43 and a 39-year-old woman, were all punched in the face and sustained facial injuries.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who are believed to have witnessed the incident and could have information which could help the investigation.

Detective Constable Lizzie Price, of Central CID, said: "This was a nasty incident, involving a number of people, with several sustaining facial injuries.

"We are keen to speak to the two men pictured as we believe they witnessed the incident and will have information which could help us with our enquiries.

"I would also like to appeal to any further witnesses to the incident. Were you in the Bath Road area, near to the petrol station, around midnight? Did you witness any suspicious behaviour? Please get in touch if you have not already spoken to police. Any information you have could be crucial to our investigation."
