CHILDREN in Chippenham are being encouraged to get creative and in the festive spirit by designing a Christmas card.
Launched by Chippenham Mayor Terry Gibson, the competition is open to any children attending school or of school age living in the area.
The winning design will be chosen by the Mayor and will be used on the Mayor’s Christmas card on behalf of Chippenham Town Council.
The winner and their family will also be invited to join the Mayor to watch A Christmas Carol in the Neeld on Saturday, December 3 at 7pm.
Designs should be done on an A4 piece of paper and the back should be clearly marked with the name, age, (school and class), address and telephone number of the child.
Entries on A4 paper can be posted to Mary Laing, democratic and civic officer, Town Hall, High Street, Chippenham, SN15 3ER or hand entries to the town hall reception staff.
Entries close on November 4.
