FURNITURE, antiques and collectables were up for grabs at the weekend as Wessex Auction Rooms held their final summer auction.

Notable items to be sold included an Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co torpedo shaped pewter vase which sold for £160, and a 19th century French brass repeater carriage clock, with each corner a Corinthian column, which sold for £360.

There was also a Kerry Darlington Faerie Forest limited edition hand-painted and mixed media artwork selling for £320, and a Great Western Railway copper and iron lamp together with a Great Western Railway clock which sold for £230.

The next antiques, furniture and collectables auction at Wessex Auction Rooms, Westbrook Farm, Draycot Cerne, Chippenham, will take place on September 10.
