Wiltshire Police are trying to help track down an amount of money believed to have been lost by a bus driver at Chippenham Bus Station.

Driver Carolyn Billett will have to pay the money back to the company if it is not found.

She parked her bus at the station last Tuesday (Aug18) at around 11.25am for a few minutes so she could take a toilet break.

The driver put her fare takings, thought to be in the hundreds of pounds, from that morning, in to her rucksack and took it with her as she left the bus.

When she returned she noticed the money was missing and believes it fell out of her rucksack.

PC Steve Drage from Wiltshire Police said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the money lying on the floor, has handed it in somewhere or saw anything out of the ordinary around this time and date at the bus station.

"The driver will have to pay this money back to the company if it is not found - so if anyone has any information which may help us find it, please come forward."

Anyone with information should contact PC Drage on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
