St Paul's School in Chippenham has been awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of its work bringing the world into the classroom.
The primary school places much importance on learning a language and teaches French to children as young as four using activities like story-telling, songs and games.
Pupils exchange letters with penfriends in France Germany and the Dominican Republic.
John Rolfe, from the British Council, said: “The school’s fantastic international work has rightfully earned it this award.
“Adding an international dimension to children’s education ensures that they are truly global citizens.”
