WAVIN has submitted a planning application to nearly double the size of its Chippenham factory in Parsonage Way.
The company plans to focus the production of its above and below ground water management products in the town.
Its submission to Wiltshire Council promises to boost the number of full-time employees from 400 to 500 and Chippenham Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the potential jobs creation.
An 8,200 sq m extension is planned for the south-east of the 10,620 sq m factory. Colours would mirror those of that building; cream with a brown band.
Other plans involve building two 7m high storage sheds, totalling 1,300 sq m, for machine tooling and general engineering equipment, and a 5.8m high, 600 sq m sheltered area for packaging in front of the warehouse.
Wavin hopes to acquire more parking space for commercial vehicles and 80 more cars at the south-east of the site.
Comments must be made to Wiltshire Council by January 14 (reference 14/10828/FUL).
