CHILDREN at Marden Vale Academy having been loving the outdoor play equipment handmade for them by Brian Coombes of Pallet Craft Creations.
Pupils are enjoying playing on the wooden tractor and train sets during break times which were made from upcycled wooden pallets, funded by the school’s sports premium.
An outdoor amphitheatre where the kids can do performances and practice their speaking during English lessons was also built by Pentagon Play with money awarded to the School as part of the National Lottery Fund.
Head teacher Becky O’Brien, said: “We wanted to be able to enhance the outdoor environment and outdoor learning experience for children through top quality resources, and to develop children’s fitness levels outside. They absolutely love them.”
Members of the school council chose what the money would be used for.
Mrs O’Brien said. “They thought about what they wanted, which was something to enhance their outdoor experiences."
