THE second running of family music festival, Heddstock, has been hailed a massive success by organisers after hundreds of people came together to enjoy live music in the sun last weekend.

The one day event in Heddington, near Calne, was held on Saturday 8th July and ended with a set from David Bowie tribute act, the Bowie Experience. Organiser Dave Young estimates 1,000 people went along during the day.

Dave said: “It was an amazing day and we were totally blown away by this year’s event. We had people come from far and wide to get involved and the weather was perfect.

“There was a brilliant family friendly atmosphere and people have said they had a great time. It’s a lot of hard work to organise and we were there from the crack of dawn on the day, so it was such a relief to see people enjoying themselves.

“All the bands sounded great and they said what a good atmosphere there was in the crowd. I think my personal favourite was The Tribe – we weren’t sure how a hip hop act would go down but the crowd loved it!”

Heddstock 2017 had live music playing all day with performances from Pignose, Peerless Pirates, Billy in the Lowground, Mick O'Toole, The Tribe, Gaz Brookfield & Ben Wain, and the Bowie Experience.

Dave added: “Thanks to everyone who came and danced and to all the villagers who helped us clear up the next day. See you in 2019!”
