POLICE are appealing for information after a 21-year-old man was assaulted in Calne over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Two men have since been arrested in connection with the incident, which is believed to have taken place sometime after 9pm on Saturday in the Braemor Road area of Calne, but police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the dispute or witnessed the man being dropped off in Heddington by a green coloured vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Cat Kirkham said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vehicle, in particular, we would like to speak to a witness who picked the victim up and gave him a lift to a local town, as well as a female dog walker who is believed to have been nearby at the time.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
