A MAN, who failed to turn up for a pre-planned police appointment in Calne, was issued with a £60 fine for urinating in the street in bed after a police officer visited him at home.
The 20-year-old man, who was caught urinating in The High Street on January 15, refused to get out of bed to see PSCO Mark Cook on Saturday, February 4 but was left embarrassed when the man's mother allowed him in to issue the spot fine.
PCSO Mark Cook of the Calne Community Police Team said: “Please remember: You can't hide in bed. If you don't come and see us, we may come and see you!”
