A 26-YEAR-OLD from Calne has been slapped with a £90 fixed penalty notice after he was identified on CCTV supplying underage youths with alcohol.

The man, who was captured on Calne Town Council camera handing a bottle of vodka to a group of youths in The Pippin after being approached on November 26, was identified along with a 14-year-old boy on Friday, December 16.

PCSO Mark Cook said: "We would like to pass on our thanks to the volunteers who assist us each week in Calne CCTV. The valuable support and commitment of everyone involved with Calne CCTV continues to have a huge impact in reducing Anti-social Behaviour, crime and the fear of crime within the Community of Calne.

"In the past Calne has suffered with a great deal of anti-social behaviour connected to underage drinking. Hopefully this enforcement action goes some way in continuing to prevent that, and also reducing any future child protection issues."

The 14-year-old's parents were also informed of the incident by PSCO Cook.
