The Calne and District Royal Air Forces Association has celebrated its 70th anniversary with a formal dinner at the White Hart Hotel in Calne.

Serving members of the Royal Air Force from RAF Brize Norton and MoD Corsham joined guests from RAF Yatesbury Association, Calne branch of the Royal British Legion and Calne RAF Cadets.

The RAF Association is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF family.

Treasurer Paul Ellis said: “We maintain the bond of comradeship and service that has stayed with us from our service days in the RAF, helping and supporting each other and the wider RAF family.

“It is an honour to support our members in this role making sure we remain financially successful.

“We fundraise each year for the Wings Appeal and our Welfare Fund, combined with a very good working relationship with the Calne RAF Cadets, who support us in our fundraising.”

The branch meets at the Woodlands Social Club in Calne at 8pm on the second Thursday of every month.
